With all the criticism thrown his way over the years, some of it justified, some of it ridiculous, it’s worth pointing out when WWE gets it right with Roman Reigns. To that end, I’d like to throw it to the segment he had with Samoa Joe on Monday Night Raw this week but more specifically, this line:

This is the Roman Reigns we need. We know he’s a real life badass — the dude beat cancer, twice! The best way to get him over as an in-character badass is to put him across a big ol’ nasty bastard like Joe and have him deliver a gangster ass line like that before throwing hands.
It’s really that simple.
They’ve done it before, they did it again here, and it is my sincere hope they do it more in the future.
