A couple months ago, when WWE was promoting a Money in the Bank cash-in which wouldn’t happen for Raw, my main man Geno pointed out that it had been 15 years since Brock Lesnar last wrestled a non-PPV television match for Vince McMahon’s company.
He eventually cashed in, but The Beast Incarnate still hasn’t broken that streak. And the 2004 match took place on SmackDown, where Lesnar spent the end of his first run with WWE. Which means it’s been even longer than Brock wrestled on the red show. An it just so happens, today (July 22) is the anniversary of that match - a Singapore cane match against Tommy Dreamer that was part of the build to his becoming the youngest ever WWE champ when he defeated The Rock at SummerSlam... 2002!
That’s right, it’s been 17 years to the day since this beauty, Brock Lesnar’s last match on Raw...
Happy birthday!
Will Lesnar wrestle on television before this bad boy is eligible to vote next July?
