Kofi Kingston to issue SummerSlam challenge on SmackDown next week

We know that Seth Rollins will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal championship at SummerSlam on Sun., Aug. 11, 2019, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. But who will challenge Kofi Kingston for the WWE championship?

We’ll find that out on SmackDown Live next week.

Indeed, WWE announced today that Kingston himself will issue a challenge to an as yet unknown opponent for a date at the biggest party of the summer. The article notes the three wrestlers who confronted him last week, and we can be reasonably certain it will be one of these three:

• Samoa Joe
• Elias
• Randy Orton

One of those is not like the other two, that’s for sure.

In other SmackDown news, Shane McMahon will address Kevin Owens and Ember Moon will take on Charlotte in singles action.
