Becky Lynch was on the receiving end of a lot of offense during the main event of Extreme Rules on Sun., July 14 in Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. It’s not surprising she was marked up after she & Seth Rollins beat Lacey Evans & Baron Corbin.
It may be a little surprising that the most visible war wound didn’t come from any of the planned kendo stick shots, leg drops onto chairs or through tables, or even Baron Corbin’s finisher.
Nope, this:

Almost certainly came from this:
Loved how she no sold it like it was a @NiaJaxWWE punch. Becky is tough as nails. pic.twitter.com/nDtzr0XpE9

I don’t know how the spot was supposed to go, so I’m not gonna blame Evans for this (if you need someone to point a finger at The Lady, there are plenty of people happy to do so on Twitter). Seems to me that if you leave an Extreme Rules match with nothing more than a big bump on the head from an errant chair, that’s pretty much the definition of “accidents happen”.
Hopefully she got some ice on it as she was consoling Seth about his title loss, and will be ready for action on Raw tonight in Uniondale, New York.
