Kevin Owens went full Stone Cold Steve Austin last week on SmackDown Live, going all anti-authority, getting his microphone cut, kicked out of the building, and ultimately ending the evening by stunning a McMahon. He kept the shenanigans up at live events this weekend and ultimately found himself booked in a match against Dolph Ziggler, who got cozy with the bosses who gave him an opportunity.
That match happened at tonight’s (Sun., July 14, 2019) Extreme Rules pay-per-view in Philadelphia and, well, it wasn’t much of a match.
Actually, it was a Stunner and a pin.
That was it.
More importantly, he grabbed a microphone and said Shane McMahon “can kiss my ass and go straight to hell.” He said this on behalf of the locker room. McMahon, for whatever it’s worth, did not make an appearance here after losing to Undertaker and Roman Reigns in a tag team match earlier in the evening.
