WWE Extreme Rules 2019 results: Shinsuke Nakamura wins the Intercontinental championship

WWE waited until the last minute to announce it, and then put it on the Kickoff show, but Finn Balor defended his Intercontinental championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at tonight’s (Sun., July 14, 2019) Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Or tried to.

Before the match, we had this cool moment:

Considering their placement on the card, they couldn’t be expected to tear the house down but they had a solid match, considering. Nakamura was the aggressor for much of it, and got out of the way when Balor went for the Coup de Grace on his comeback. He followed that up with a knee to the back of the head and the follow up Kinsasha was enough to get the pinfall.

This is Nakamura’s first Intercontinental championship run in WWE.
