Jeff Hardy was arrested in South Carolina earlier today (Sat., July 13, 2019) for being drunk in public, according to TMZ. From that site:
It’s unclear what exactly led to his arrest -- we’re working on getting more deets -- but we’re told he was released at some point Saturday on less than $200 bond.
PW Insider reports he has a hearing scheduled for July 22 but won’t be required to appear if he doesn’t wish to contest the charge.
WWE released the following statement on the matter, which is typical of situations like this:
“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”
Hardy has been out of action while recovering from knee surgery. He was also arrested for DWI last year when he was out with an injury.
