Drake Maverick is a global treasure and we must protect him at all costs

WWE may be co-opting our puppet sightings, but there was still a “Where’s Waldo?” type moment on the July 9 SmackDown.

And it was courtesy of none other than 24/7 champion Drake Maverick. See, Maverick had to be there so he could Generally Manage 205 Live, but he also had to get through the blue brand show with his precious title. So he did what any self-respecting newlywed would do, and hid under the table in catering.

He’s obscured by the advertising in the official YouTube clip of the Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville and Ember Moon scene where he was spotted, but we grabbed a screenshot:

It’s just the latest example of how Maverick earned and deserved his push as one of the leads in WWE’s 24/7 title story. We’ve had several of them this week, such as how his Instagram continues to tell the humiliating tale of his still unconsummated (hopefully just in kayfabe) marriage to Renee Michelle:
