Two-time 24/7 champ Jinder Mahal recovering from knee surgery

He was in the news this week for reportedly signing a new five year WWE contract, but we haven’t seen Jinder Mahal on television since he scared R-Truth into a shipping crate back on June 11.

Now we know why. Mahal reveals he exited the 24/7 title scene due to a ruptured patella he suffered wrestling Ali at a Denver house show a couple weeks back. Fortunately, he’s already out of surgery.

Unfortunately, recovery from surgery to repair the knee after this kind of surgery means 3 - 6 months on the shelf.

Mahal is in the same amazing shape he’s been in throughout his second WWE run, though, which should make rehab a little smoother. Here’s wishing him a speedy recovery.
