Kurt Angle names Baron Corbin the top heel in the business

You suck.

One of pro wrestling’s greatest unsolved mysteries is defining what is good ‘heat’ and what is not good ‘heat’. It’s subjective, impossible to truly quantify, but you already know this won’t stop fans and pro wrestling media alike from debating the topic.

Which brings us to current WWE punching bag and/or Vince McMahon’s favorite son Baron Corbin. Pushed as one of WWE’s biggest heels for several months now, arguing if Corbin is good or bad has become a hot button issue in the pro wrestling community.

There is at least one person in Corbin’s corner, and that’s his WrestleMania 35 opponent Kurt Angle.

Stopping by SiriusXM’s Busted Open, Angle discussed the build-up to his retirement match at WrestleMania 35. The 50-year-old WWE Hall of Famer gave McMahon a list of several wrestlers who he would have liked to have his last match against; Corbin was not on the list.

Despite originally not being on board with facing Corbin, Angle did come around to the idea and to his opponent's character eventually.

“Was Baron the right person? Probably not, but look at him now. I think that Baron Corbin right now is the best heel in the business. If a person gets everyone to genuinely hate their guts, 24/7, you’re doing your job. Baron, he’s the top heel in the business right now. People may disagree, but he’s going to get the title eventually. He’s going to have a heel run and I think he’ll do extremely well.”

High praise from one of the best in-ring workers to ever lace up a pair of boots.

To Angle's point, the problem isn’t that Baron Corbin is getting booed, but is it the type of jeering that makes crowds pay to see him get his ass kicked or the type of jeers that make audiences change the channel?

With all due respect to our Olympic Hero, can you name any (or several) heels in pro wrestling better than Corbin?
