WWE Stomping Grounds results: Becky Lynch submits Lacey Evans

@WWE

WWE opened tonight’s (Sun., June 23, 2019) Stomping Grounds pay-per-view (PPV) at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington with the first of many rematches on the evening, as Becky Lynch put her Raw women’s championship on the line against Lacey Evans. Lynch won the first match by submission at Money in the Bank.

And that’s how she won the this one, tapping Evans with the Disarmher.

The match was, well, decent at times but Evans is still really rough around the edges. They were off on their timing and missed multiple spots. If nothing else, it seemed clear that Lacey probably shouldn’t be working long PPV matches at this point in her career.

With a second loss to the champion, there may not be any worry about that going forward.

For her part, Lynch looked strong at the start, stumbled a bit, and then finished strong. It should be interesting to see what comes next.
