Some folks consider the bookies spoiler-mongers, but they’re not 100% accurate - at least not until right before showtime.
Don’t get too worked up by these odds for Sun., June 23’s WWE pay-per-view (PPV) Stomping Grounds, is what I’m saying. The handicappers at Bet Online look to be making the same assumptions many fans are - that WWE will keep things status quo at a B event that’s almost two months away from SummerSlam.
That’s the read I get from the odds for these title matches, which heavily favor the defending champs:
Seth Rollins (c) vs Baron Corbin for the Universal championship
Seth Rollins -1000 (1/10)
Baron Corbin +525 (26/5)Kofi Kingston (c) vs Dolph Ziggler for the WWE title
Kofi Kingston -950 (2/19)
Dolph Ziggler +500 (5/1)Becky Lynch (c) vs Lacey Evans for the Raw Women’s championship
Becky Lynch -400 (1/4)
Lacey Evans +250 (5/2)Bayley (c) vs Alexa Bliss for the SmackDown Women’s title
Bayley -500 (1/5)
Alexa Bliss +300 (3/1)
For more suspense, at least in the eyes of “Vegas”, you have to look to this non-title match:
Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre
Roman Reigns -150 (2/3)
Drew McIntyre +110 (11/10)
You taking any of that action, Cagesiders?
