WWE SmackDown Live ratings (May 7, 2019): Cauterized

WWE.com

While it didn’t have an advertised Roman Reigns appearance like its Monday counterpart, the blue brand did see an increase in its numbers on May 7. Viewers rose by almost 100K from the previous week, hitting 1,931,000. That’s still only the third time this year SmackDown’s failed to draw 2 million.

That made it the 11th most watched cable original on the night, behind two basketball playoff games, and the usual MSNBC & Fox News political talk. WWE’s nemesis, History’s Curse of Oak Island aired a post-season wrap-up special, and its spin-off Curse of Civil War Gold, dropped off considerably in its second week.

Ratings were also up slightly, but the .58 share of the overall 18 - 49 year old audience was Team Blue’s second worst number of the year. It was fourth on the night in that metric, behind both NBA games, and a double-overtime game 7 classic between Dallas & St. Louis on the ice.

After wrestling was done, Miz & Mrs followed up with similar numbers to what it’s been doing all season - up about 58K viewers to 898,000. It’s rating ticked up to a .29.

WWE’s on tape delay from the UK next week, so SmackDown’s numbers may not look as good as these from the past six months:
