Dominick is definitely turning on Rey Mysterio, right?

WWE.com

The WrestleMania 35 rematch we’ve all known was coming was made official on the May 6 Raw. Rey Mysterio will get another chance to take the United States championship off Samoa Joe at Money in the Bank on May 19 in Hartford, Connecticut.

Rey was hobbled with an ankle injury heading into the Showcase of the Immortals, so much of the story since - including his win over Joe on Mon., April 29 - has been about how much of a threat to the champ he is when he’s 100%. It’s also involved Rey’s son Dominick an awful lot, including this backstage scene between El Hijo de Mysterio and the Samoan Submission Machine:

Dominick’s been on TV since his dad and his uncle Eddie had a feud over paternity rights (wrestling everybody!) back in 2005, and has been training with a who’s who of Rey’s friends for the past several years. Rey’s said working with his son is the last dream match on his list. There are rumors WWE’s trademarking a name for him, and that he may have quietly signed a talent contract.

Odds seem good he’ll be doing more than just walking around with his dad pretty soon. But who’s side will he be on?

I’m thinking we get a temporary heel turn, where he’s corrupted by that silver-tongued devil Joe before triumphantly reuniting with his old man down the line. But that’s certainly not the only way things could go.

Let us know if/when/how you think Dominick gets involved. Here’s the updated line-up for XL Center:

  • Braun Strowman vs. Ricochet vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Baron Corbin vs. Ali vs. Finn Balor vs. Andrade vs. Randy Orton in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match
  • Naomi vs. Natalya vs. Dana Brooke vs. Bayley vs. Mandy Rose vs. Ember Moon vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Carmella in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match
