WWE 205 Live results (May 7, 2019): Kanellis vs. Tozawa, No DQ

WWE 205 Live returns to WWE Network tonight (May 7, 2019), live on Tuesday nights, with a show from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Advertised for tonight: After Mike Kanellis attacked The Brian Kendrick, Akira Tozawa came to the rescue. Now they’ll face each other in no disqualifications match, with Maria’s man looking to prove he should be taken seriously as a contender for Tony Nese’s Cruiserweight title.

Come right back here at 10 p.m. ET. We’ll update all the results from 205 Live live as it airs on WWE Network below the line.

Enjoy the show!

  • Today’s opening promo is Mike and Maria Kanellis talking about how Akira Tozawa has no chance, and Brian Kendrick and Tozawa get a counterpoint where Kendrick says it’s simple— Mike is screwed.
  • Ariya Daivari over Noam Dar by pinfall with the Pepsi Twist.
  • Post-match, Tony Nese gets up from commentary and gets the jump on Daivari but doesn’t attack— he just wants Ariya to know he could attack at any time.
  • Oney Lorcan gets a locker room promo where he says he’s dealt with adversity throughout his career and he knows that nothing comes easy. When his next opportunity comes, nothing will stop him from becoming WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
  • Singh Brothers (Samir & Sunil Singh) over David Kauffman & Kevin Lee by pinfall with a Demolition Decapitation.
  • Post-match the Singhs cut a promo about their return to 205 Live and how the Lucha House Party snuck up on them but they want a rematch.
  • Mike and Maria Kanellis run into Drake Maverick backstage and thank him for banning Kendrick from ringside. He says he’s glad they’re on the same page but stops Maria when they leave and informs her that she is also banned from ringside.
  • Jack Gallagher is interviewed backstage about how stoked he is to be cleared and wrestling on next week’s show, in a four-way with Mark Andrews, James Drake, and Humberto Carrillo. Humberto rolls up and says he’s looking forward to finishing what they started in London. Jack accepts his handshake and says he can try.
  • Akira Tozawa over Mike Kanellis by pinfall with the diving senton and a bit of help from some chairs. (No Disqualification Match)
  • Maria comes and gets her husband and Kendrick comes down to celebrate with his pal.
  • That’s the show, folks.
