Dave Meltzer writes that Sasha Banks and Vince McMahon had a meeting on Thurs., May 23. If this meeting took place at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, this would line up with reports Banks was in New York last week on WWE 2K20 video game business.
Coming out of Vince and Sasha’s talk, the Observer Newsletter reports “things are said to be better” and her return to WWE “could be... sometime this summer but nothing is official.”
So, we’ve got a little more information, but still nothing I’d get too excited about.
If previous reports are correct, Banks’ choices are to sit out the remainder of her contract (allegedly a multi-year deal signed in May of 2018, which WWE could extend for missed time) or return to the company she supposedly walked away from over their booking of her team with Bayley and the new Women’s Tag titles. With All Elite and TNT an option for The Boss or any WWE star, there’s no reason to think McMahon would agree to release the four-time Raw Women’s champ.
Sasha is, as always, not speaking on any of this. Her social media is active, and rife for interpretation. Although tweets like this one came before the Observer hit (and may be directed at posts like ours which analyzed her Instagram, including comment history):
At least she got Naomi to confirm that Team B.A.D. is ready to reunite.
This one is also pre-WON but post-Vince meeting, and features some Kendrick Lamar lyrics which contain a bit of the prison metaphor Jon Moxley and others in AEW are fond of using for their time in WWE...

What does it all mean? Hell if I know. We’ll likely find out when “Sky’s The Limit” plays one Monday night. Until then, we’ll keep you posted on whatever we hear.
