WWE SmackDown Live ratings (May 21, 2019): Rebound

WWE.com

After another record low viewership number last Tuesday, SmackDown rebounded a bit on May 21.

At 1,983,000, the blue brand’s audience was up more than 150K viewers this week. Without the Golden State Warriors or new Curse of Oak Island going against them, WWE surely would have liked to get back above 2 million. But a win is a win.

And the only shows which drew over 2 million on cable last night were the usual MSNBC & Fox News shows. SmackDown was the 8th most watched cable original, after Hannity, Maddow, Carlson and the like.

Ratings were also up, but a sport did keep WWE from winning the night in that category. SmackDown’s .61 share of the overall 18 - 49 year old audience was second behind the NHL Conference Final game between San Jose and St. Louis.

NOTE: For someone reason, no one has the numbers for the NBA Eastern Conference Finals game between Toronto & Milwaukee as of this writing. It’s all but certain their overtime contest drew a larger audience and better rating than WWE. There’s no indication the numbers for SmackDown are incorrect, just that the basketball game’s are missing.

Miz & Mrs took advantage of its lead-in’s improved numbers, picking up more than 25K viewers to register an audience of 1,037,000. The reality show’s rating dipped to a .37, however.
