It was reasonable to expect WWE would see an increase in viewers for Monday Night Raw this week, considering the show was coming one night after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. That event also saw Brock Lesnar’s surprise return and the even bigger surprise of his winning the Money in the Bank contract.
Sure enough, the numbers went up.
Indeed, this week’s episode of Raw drew 2.52 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.34 million. WWE has seen a steady increase in viewers over the past couple weeks.
The hourly breakdown also looked solid:
Hour one: 2.68 million
Hour two: 2.58 million
Hour three: 2.30 million
The last hour had the big drop despite the tease of Lesnar cashing in on Seth Rollins or Kofi Kingston, but perhaps fans are simply wise to WWE’s games and expected what was to come. Either way, the promotion has to be happy to see the increases.
