WWE Money in the Bank 2019 results: Becky Lynch retains Raw women’s championship

@WWE

As the double champ, rocking both the Raw and SmackDown women’s championship titles, Becky Lynch was made to work double duty at tonight’s (Sun., May 19, 2019) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Up first: Lacey Evans challenging for the Raw women’s title.

She also had to look over her shoulder for Bayley, who, earlier this very same evening, won the Money in the Bank contract for a guaranteed title shot whenever she wanted.

None of it mattered.

There was a real question regarding just how good this match could be, considering how green Evans still is. They started strong, and then it flew off the rails a bit with some blown spots and a finish that fell a bit flat.

Evans attacked Lynch’s knee, then rolled her up. The referee, however, never counted because apparently he didn’t think Becky’s shoulders were down. While he was looking to be sure, Lynch rolled through and locked on the Dis-armher. Evans tapped quickly.
