After some backstage words with his son Dominick, Rey Mysterio headed to the ring at Money in the Bank at Hartford, Connecticut’s XL Center on Sun., May 19 for his latest shot at winning the United States title.
He wasn’t there long.
Possibly due to the fact that Samoa Joe was busted open (it looked to happen after a springboard seated senton)...

... the match ended quickly when Rey countered a power bomb into a roll-up. Furthering the confusion, Joe’s shoulders clearly weren’t down flush. The announcers pointed it out immediately.

The former U.S. champ wasn’t out for long, and he raced back to take down Mysterio on the match. He proceeded to demolish the new Grand Slam champ as Dominick watched from ringside.
