WWE Money in the Bank 2019 results: Bayley climbs back to the top with a big win

The third annual Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match kicked off the pay-per-view (PPV) which takes its name from the battle of the briefcase. Hartford, Connecticut XL Center had just seen The Usos win a non-title match over SmackDown Tag champs Daniel Bryan & Rowan when Naomi, Carmella, Mandy Rose (accompanied by Sonya Deville), Nikki Cross, Ember Moon, Natalya, Dana Brooke and Bayley made their entrances.

Cross was the first to introduce a ladder to the proceedings, charging into a melee to clothesline four women with the steel, then spinning it around to take out everyone else. Brooke eventually dropkicked it out of her hands, and it was multi-wrestler, hardcore match chaos from there.

A Mandy Rose kick appeared to hurt Carmella’s knee, and she was walked to the back by trainers while the women took their turns trying to set-up a ladder to reach the briefcase. That led to some cool set pieces like Naomi ducking, dodging and diving over two sets of competitors holding ladders before being dumped onto one butt-first by Nattie.

Once we reached the stretch of the bout where a ladder was set-up in the center of the ring, the teases were fast and furious. Dana hung from the chain holding the briefcase at one point...

... and there were five women on the ladder when Natalya pushed it over. That just set her up to take an awesome eclipse from Moon, who leapt from another ladder to take her out.

Rose took Ember, but a returning Carmella laid her out after the brawled on the ramp. Mandy’s Fire & Desire teammate came to the rescue, however, and not only took out Mella, but carried her partner up to the top.

It was there she was met by the Hugster. Bayley knocked both the heels off the top, and claimed the case. In an in-ring interview with Charly Caruso, the new Ms. Money in the Bank talked about her missing former tag partner Sasha Banks, but vowed to make her mark as a singles competitor once again.

Is this the last we see of Bayley tonight?
