TakeOver is happening June 1... somewhere

There’s been a fair amount of confusion about the next NXT TakeOver event.

First it was uncoupled for any of WWE’s main roster pay-per-view (PPV) events. Then it looked like it would take place in San Jose (site of the brand’s first big house show outside FCW’s old southeastern circuit) on June 8. Triple H even mentioned that plan on the pre-New York conference call. But then a return to Saudi Arabia was booked for June 7, and there were logistical issues with having the production and support staffs split.

The solution is to move TakeOver up to Sat., June 1. Where? We’ll find that out on Triple H’s social media on this upcoming Monday (May 6).

NXT’s only booking for June 1 is a Florida circuit house show in Fort Pierce, and that won’t get turned into a WWE Network special. Could they return to Full Sail for the first TakeOver at their home base since 2016’s The End?

Wherever it lands, this is the most up-in-the-air we’ve seen the black-and-gold brand’s plans.

Stay tuned.
