Next year’s WrestleMania is set for Raymond James Stadium in Tampa - we already have a commercial and everything! So it appears that means its time to start talking about where WrestleMania 37 will be in the spring of 2021.
In a story for LA Times, Arash Markashi reports that Southern California is “the front-runner to host WrestleMania 37, according to multiple sources”. The Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission is hoping to land the show for the new football stadium being built in Inglewood, which will be the home of both the NFL’s Chargers and Rams.
Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park, as it’s now known pending the eventual sale of naming rights, is already tabbed for Super Bowl LVI in Feb. 2022. Officials see ‘Mania as a test run for hosting that even bigger event.
WWE has a long history in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, with all or part of five WrestleManias taking place there, along with numerous Raw & SmackDown episodes and other major & lesser PPVs.
