Triple H is talking like it’s possible WrestleMania 35 could be his last match

Triple H

One of the stipulations WWE added to the Triple H vs. Batista match at WrestleMania 35 this Sun., April 7, 2019, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is that the former put his in-ring career on the line. Essentially, if he loses he’ll never wrestle another match.

In an interview with Yahoo Sports, Triple H is talking like that’s a possibility either way:

“To be honest, my life would be exponentially less hectic if I wasn’t working at WrestleMania, but it’s a blast, it’s tough to say no to that adrenaline rush, those crowds and everything that comes along with it. Getting to have a blast one more time and who knows, every time I go out there now, it’s very well conceivably the last time I step in the ring.”

This is almost certainly Batista’s last match — he’s already mentioned as much and he’s got a career in Hollywood that will be much easier to maintain. Triple H, meanwhile, will continue his work as an executive and on-screen character. It’s hard to believe that this is it for him.

Sure, he’s 49-years-old and has many other responsibilities within WWE that take up much of his time, but come on. This is “The Game” we’re talking about. When WrestleMania 36 comes around, can you imagine him skipping it in favor of his duties backstage?

Me neither.
