Matches most likely to be on WrestleMania Kickoff are on WrestleMania Kickoff

WWE.com

On the April 2 episode of SmackDown, WWE revealed three matches which will take place on the Kickoff show prior to WrestleMania 35. And they’re probably the three you’d have guessed - because they’re the same three which landed on the WrestleMania 34 Kickoff last April in New Orleans.

The Cruiserweight title match, this time featuring Tony Nese trying to take the purple belt from Buddy Murphy, will take its traditional place on the pre-show. Not surprising considering it was announced just last Friday, the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal will join it. Rounding out the two hour stream/broadcast will be the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Some had figured the men’s battle royal for the main card, considering the presence of SNL “Weekend Update” hosts Colin Jost & Michael Che, and the amount of time which has been spent on Raw setting up their program with Braun Strowman. This will likely still get the maximum exposure when its aired during the second hour of the Kickoff, the portion which airs on USA Network at 6pm.

That leaves 12 matches (as of now) for the main card.

It all happens April 7 from New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. You can watch the Kickoff at 5 ET / 2 PT on WWE Network, WWE.com, the WWE App, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter - right here at Cageside Seats!
