The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Money in the Bank show set to take place on Sun., May 19, 2019, at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. This show has long been treated like a major event, though it’s unclear if
We’re three weeks away from the show and the card is filling up:
- Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match
Alexa Bliss will announce the Raw participants on the show this week. No word on the SmackDown side. Rumors suggest a field of Cesaro, Ricochet, Aleister Black, Drew McIntyre, Lars Sullivan, and Andrade but that’s not confirmed.
- Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match
Alexa Bliss will announce the Raw participants on the show this week. No word just yet on the SmackDown side.
- Seth Rollins (c) vs. AJ Styles (Universal championship)
Styles won a triple threat match to earn a number one contender match against Borin Corbin, then he won that.
- Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lacey Evans (Raw women’s championship)
Evans started beef with Lynch by showing up and punching her in the mouth.
- Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair (SmackDown women’s championship)
Flair rightfully pointed out that she lost her title without getting pinned or submitted or even being involved in the finish of the match, so she’s getting another crack here. She did have to earn it, beating Bayley.
- Roman Reigns vs. Elias
Reigns moved to SmackDown along with Elias and immediately drew the ire of Vince/Shane McMahon. So he’s been put into a match with Elias, who, for some reason, has aligned with the bosses.
Samoa Joe vs. Braun Strowman is rumored for the U.S. championship, but otherwise it’s hard telling what WWE will do for the rest of the card.
