When in doubt just make a triple threat.
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured not one but two critical triple threat matches. The show opened with Michael Cole announcing that six men would compete in two triple threat matches with the winners meeting in the main event of Raw.
The prize at the end of the night would be one man getting a shot at Universal Champion Seth Rollins next month at Money in the Bank.
In the first match a trio of former SmackDown stars, AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, and Samoa Joe, put together a fantastic 20 minute display.
What a matchup! Will it be @AJStylesOrg, @SamoaJoe or @reymysterio who advances to tonight's main event match on #Raw?? pic.twitter.com/TwcZ2FvdF1

In the end Styles used a creative version of Styles Clash to get the pin fall and advance.

At the top of hour number two of Raw, Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and The Miz competed for the right to face Styles in the main event. The story of this triple match was Corbin and McIntyre working together but also getting in each other’s way.
.@mikethemiz is ROLLING against @BaronCorbinWWE & @DMcIntyreWWE! But will it be enough to earn him a spot in tonight's main event match against @AJStylesOrg on #Raw?? pic.twitter.com/lF6jtsn8tS

Off a Claymore where McIntyre tried to kick directly through Miz’s chest, Corbin rolled in at the last second and stole the pin.
Good grief. Claymore! @DMcIntyreWWE #RAW pic.twitter.com/kgfpn6xo7s

The main event between Corbin and Styles was everything you would expect from a match between the pair. Nothing to write home about, but to his credit Corbin was able to keep up with Styles.

A Phenomenal Forearm late in the match was what gave Styles the 1-2-3 over Corbin.
Post-match Seth Rollins made his way down to the ring to congratulate Styles.
