Another tag team bites the dust as post-Shake-up shake-up continues

WWE.com

It wasn’t a big surprise when word went around last week that United States champion Samoa Joe would be headed to Raw as part of the Superstar Shake-up. The Intercontinental belt was moved to SmackDown along with Finn Bálor, and Joe was allegedly out sick, which is why he wasn’t available to debut as a red brand star in Montreal.

So it’s still not a surprise when Post Wrestling says Joe’s backstage in Des Moines, Iowa and will debut tonight.

Even with news a short time ago that previously announced Raw talents Andrade, Aleister Black & Zelina Vega would now be on SmackDown, it’s still a little surprising to learn from John Pollock at Post that Cesaro will head to Mondays along with Joe. That means the end of the five-time tag champions The Bar, put together by Mick Foley back in 2016.

It could also be related to a report from last week that Sheamus was injured on the April 15 episode of Raw, but we’ll wait for more word on that.

For now, WWE’s continuing to reshuffle their line-ups a week after the Superstar Shake-up which reshuffled their line-ups. That probably shouldn’t be too big of a shock in and of itself, considering the reports of travel woes and backstage chaos which have been circulating since WrestleMania 35.

And the fact this is WWE we’re talking about.
