Earlier in the week WWE made the decision to prolong The Shield’s farewell tour for at least one more house show.
Set to be broadcast on the WWE Network on Sun., April 21, at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT, The Shield’s Last Chapter will feature all three members together for what is being called their final match.
A new report from PWInsider states that standing opposite of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose will be the makeshift team of Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Baron Corbin.
Excited?
The Shield’s final run as a faction was borne out of Ambrose’s WWE contract reportedly set to run out soon. The Lunatic Fringe already had his last televised appearance on Raw and has since made a few curtain calls after WWE’s cameras stop rolling.
As far as rumors go, some have pointed to the 33-year-old taking an extended break from WWE while others have said he will be taking indie bookings in 2019.
In pro wrestling you can never say never, but will Sunday night be the last time fans get to see Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose share a ring together?
