Becky Lynch sounds like she wants to be double champ for a while

Now she is The Man with a plan.

When not going to war with pretty much every woman involved in the Superstar Shake-up, Becky Lynch is doing the media rounds as both WWE’s Raw and SmackDown women’s champion.

In a new interview with People, Lynch talks about her goals beyond just being the champ-champ.

“Now I have two giant targets on my back, and I know that everybody’s going to be trying to take me down and pay your due. The goal now is to make these titles the most talked about ones in all of WWE. It’s to make these [women’s titles] the most relevant titles in all of WWE. So that’s double duty, and it’s one thing to get to the mountain top, but it’s a whole another thing to stay there. And now I’m going to have a lot of people trying to knock me off.”

Both titles did just headline WWE’s biggest show of the year, but it sounds like Lynch is looking for long-term stability here with both her belts. With Lynch leading the charge maybe the Raw and SmackDown women’s titles can be (and should be) dubbed the most relevant belts in the company.

The question then becomes, just how long will WWE let Becky Lynch hold both titles before she drops one? Is there a chance they will be unified down the line?
