Ric Flair says Shawn Michaels almost super kicked him at WrestleMania 35

WWE.com

This is very much a Ric Flair story.

For the past 40 years plus, pro wrestling fans have been blessed with stories of Flair.

When the fans last saw Flair, he was getting one over on Batista and helping Triple H win their grudge match at WrestleMania 35. In a note that shouldn’t surprise anyone, it sounds like Flair wanted to be more involved in the match than what was planned.

Flair also shared a tidbit about Shawn Michaels thinking he was a fan who was running in on the match.

Speaking with CBS Sports to promote The Roast of Ric Flair at Starrcast II next month, The Nature Boy cracked wise about getting physical at age 70.

“Oh, I had a blade on [me]! “ Flair joked when asked whether he would have bumped or bled at age 70 if called upon. “Just kidding. But you know what Shawn Michaels said to me? They thought another mark was hitting the ring like the night before with Bret Hart [at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony]. Shawn almost had to superkick me from the announce table.”

Was it a joke? Like how many times on Sunday did Triple H have to talk Flair out of blading or taking a bump at WrestleMania 35?

Never change Nature Boy.
