Full spoilers from NXT’s April 10, 2019 tapings at Full Sail

WWE.com

What’s next for NXT? It’s a question on everyone’s mind, especially since Johnny Champion got his fairy tale ending at TakeOver: New York, and for the first time in years the Ciampa/Gargano saga won’t be a part of the show. The black-and-yellow brand films at their home base of Full Sail Live on Weds., April for shows which should address everything which happened during their latest trip to Brooklyn.

We’ll start seeing the action taped tonight next week during NXT’s regular Wednesday night series on WWE Network. These shows will also start the build for June’s San Jose TakeOver.

What do Triple H and team have in store for us? Join us as we start updating results live when as they roll in from Winter Park, Florida after the scheduled 6:30PM Eastern bell time:

  • Before the taping begins, we’re informed that Buddy Murphy will be challenging Velveteen Dream for the NXT North American Championship and Kairi Sane will get one last shot at Shayna Baszler’s NXT Women’s Championship later tonight.
  • Reina Gonzalez over Lacey Lane.
  • Velveteen Dream (c) over Buddy Murphy to retain the NXT North American Championship.
  • A video is played of Adam Cole blaming Roderick Strong for his loss at TakeOver: New York against Johnny Gargano.
  • Raul Mendoza over Riddick Moss. Moss was working a new fitness guru gimmick here.
  • Johnny Gargano comes out for a promo segment. He talks about his journey and how he can stand here as Johnny Champion, and the Undisputed ERA arrive, without Roderick Strong. Adam Cole claims to be the uncrowned champion and says Gargano just got lucky, to which Johnny says he beat him 2-1, but he’s willing to give him a rematch. Roddy comes out of the crowd to attack Johnny and TUE finish the segment with a beatdown.
  • Dominik Dijakovic over Fry Daddy, who’s the newest person to be selected to work an NXT taping by way of a WWN seminar.
  • Post-match, Dijakovic cuts a promo about how he’s here for his family who have immigrated to the US, and the North American Championship is his opportunity.
  • Shayna Baszler (c) over Kairi Sane by disqualification to retain the NXT Women’s Championship after trainers had to check on Kairi and Io Shirai attacked to avenge her friend. Kairi’s loss ensures that she won’t challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship again.
  • And indeed, Kairi takes a bow afterward, seemingly wrapping up her time in NXT.
  • Humberto Carrillo over Jaxson Ryker by disqualification. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch make the save!
  • Candice LeRae & Kacy Catanzaro over Aliyah & Vanessa Borne.
  • War Raiders (Hanson & Ray Rowe) over Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford).
  • Johnny Gargano over Roderick Strong after an errant kick from Adam Cole struck Strong instead. Also of note, Matt Riddle ran interference for Johnny and kept Undisputed from making a bigger mark. Roddy got in Cole’s face after.
  • Humberto Carrillo over Jaxson Ryker by disqualification in a repeat of the earlier match with Lorcan and Burch making the save.
  • Dominik Dijakovic over Mansoor.
  • Post-match, Velveteen Dream arrives on his couch and has a confrontation with Dijakovic in which he displays a promo in text form on the tron.
  • Forgotten Sons (Jaxson Ryker, Steve Cutler, & Wesley Blake) over Danny Burch, Humberto Carrillo, & Oney Lorcan.
  • KUSHIDA IS HERE AND HE’S WRESTLING CHRIS HERO!
  • KUSHIDA over Kassius Ohno.
  • Bianca Belair over Mia Yim. The EST was a little underhanded here, using her hair for an assist in her match-winning pin.
  • Matt Riddle over Adam Cole
  • Post-match, Riddle celebrates on the stage as the Undisputed ERA bicker amongst each other.
