When will WWE start to show The Revival some respect?

Top Guys???

No flips, just fists and a whole lot of losses is the story of The Revival since getting called up to the main roster in 2017. Where did it all go wrong?

The story so far

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder’s journey to Raw tag team gold begins with plenty of defeats up and down their record. The Revival spent much of 2018 at the bottom of the red brand’s tag team standings. Dash and Dawson lost feuds to The Deleters Of Worlds, The B-Team, and also lost a title match to Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.

After losing much of last year, The Revival began an one sided beef with 205 Live call-ups Lucha House Party. Sure, Dawson and Wilder would pick-up one win throughout the feud, but they spent the majority of the storyline steadily taking ‘L’s’ from the trio.

With that stream of momentum behind them, The Revival found themselves in a number one contender’s match on the Feb. 11, episode of Raw, because the bout needed four teams.

The build to Fastlane

Following their win the previous week, Dash and Dawson won the tag titles from Bobby Roode and Chad Gable.

The crowd went mild.

Placed in the third hour of Raw, the title match was not promoted until the moment all four men were in the ring. A fitting start to The Revival’s run atop the red brand’s tag team division.

Since winning the titles last month, Dawson and Wilder have a 1-2 record on TV, with their lone win coming via DQ when the former champions ran in on the match. The Revival have spent their entire title reign losing cleanly to NXT call-ups Aleister Black and Ricochet as well as Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

The go-home show

At least Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder’s first pay-per-view title defense is not on the preshow, so maybe things are looking up for one of the most successful combos in NXT history.

If there is any chance for The Revival’s title reign to get some juice, it will have to start with a decisive win at Fastlane. Do Dash and Dawson have it in them? Or will WWE play hot potato with the Raw tag team titles heading into WrestleMania 35?

Tune into cSs for full bell-to-bell coverage of Fastlane tomorrow starting at 6:00 p.m. ET with the Kickoff show leading right on into the main card at 7:00 p.m. ET.
