When Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were brought in as part of WWE’s major play for big stars from New Japan Pro Wrestling years ago, it seemed they were in for a big push as a top team. While they’ve had their moments, they’ve also spent a lot of that time not doing anything at all.
And they’ve had enough of that.
According to PW Insider, WWE approached the duo about signing a new deal and multiple meetings took place between the two sides. They were never able to agree on a new contract, however, and as of now they will be leaving the company when their deals come up later this year.
They apparently turned down multi million dollar deals, by the way. That would seem to indicate just how frustrated they are with how they’ve been used, from hardly ever appearing on television to even missing some house shows. Insider also brings up the “Botch Club” show that had obvious potential but disappeared after just one episode.
There’s no doubt they’ll be hot commodities once they hit the open market.
Tick tock.
