WWE is usually clear of major sports competition on the Road to WrestleMania, but they ran into a juicy NBA doubleheader on Tues., Mar. 5. But despite going iso against Raptor/Rockets - and an episode of The Voice on NBC that drew 10 million+, SmackDown LIVE actually picked up a few viewers over the week prior... even if their ratings took a hit.
An audience of 2,155,000 tuned in, up approximately 5K from last Tuesday. That made the blue show the ninth most watched cable original on the night, behind History’s Curse of Oak Island and Fox News & MSNBC’s political talk.
The late basketball game between the always popular Boston Celtics and the reigning champs Golden State won the night in the ratings, where SmackDown came in third. WWE’s Tuesday night show was down from its 2019 best on Feb. 26, only getting .70 among 18 - 49 year olds.
