The main event program — maybe, probably, allegedly — for WrestleMania 35 features the Raw Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey, the winner of the 2019 Royal Rumble, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair. Nearly the entirety of said program has been about the fact that everyone wants Rousey vs. Lynch and no one, especially not Rousey and Lynch, want Charlotte anywhere near it.
It’s gotten to the point that Rousey literally forfeit her title in protest. That’s how badly she wants Lynch and, by extension, doesn’t want Flair. This hasn’t been presented for any reason other than WWE’s own acknowledgement that Rousey vs. Lynch is the bigger, more interesting match. That’s quite literally the story.
One could look at that and see it as a low key burial of Flair. It’s not that, of course, but you couldn’t be blamed for thinking it.
There is one way she’s getting over here, though, and that’s her not being anywhere near all this Twitter nonsense the other two have partaken in. Lynch is infamously savage on social media, and she’s been having her way with Rousey to the point Ronda went “full Russo” and started talking about throwing away the script and actually “beating the shit” out of her.
It’s gotten ridiculous, really, and led to some mind melting takes from all corners of the pro wrestling world. Then, you get Charlotte coming in with stuff like this:
I’ll work on my Twitter game after Mania. For now, Lucha Libre training in Mexico City with my “top secret” trainer #volaqqueen pic.twitter.com/aNxBwsjxhi

Considering how exhausting it’s been playing “work or shoot” with Rousey and Lynch, Charlotte is downright refreshing here. It’s a really, really great change of pace.
Flair will be on Raw this week, and we’ll see how they advance the story there. For now, this is nice.
