WWE SmackDown Live ratings (Mar. 26, 2019): Cream rises

WWE’s Monday night numbers may be flat/flagging, but Tuesdays are moving on up.

While a year-to-year analysis still doesn’t look great (and there are arguments to be had about that as an across-the-board issue and wrestling’s performance relative to those trends), SmackDown is at least showing that viewers will come back for a compelling story.

For the third straight week, the blue brands numbers rose on Mar. 26. Viewers were up approximately 185K to best of the year 2,393,000. That made SmackDown the 7th most watched cable original on the night, behind History’s Curse of Oak Island, and five Fox News programs.

Not even the Canadian treasure hunters beat Team Blue in the ratings. Both SmackDown and Oak Island drew a .79 among 18 - 49 year olds, and tied for best on the night. Like the audience size, that was the best number for WWE on a Tuesday since last fall.

We’ll see how things shake out on next week’s WrestleMania 35 ‘go home’ episodes, but at this rate we might not have to wait until the Fox move to see SmackDown outdrawing Raw.

Here’s a list of WWE’s Tuesday numbers from the past six months:
