Duet showdown: Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga vs Elias & Finn Balor

When done right, musical duets can create magical moments. One such recent duet is, “Shallow,” by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. “Shallow,” is a Grammy and Academy award winning song from the movie A Star is Born. I’ve never seen the movie, nor do I know much about Lady Gaga or Bradley Cooper, aside from The Hangover series. But, I have to say that, “Shallow,” sure is captivating. It is easy to feel the emotion with the performances from Gaga and Cooper.

That leads us to this past weekend with Elias and Finn Balor in the ring during what I presume was a house show. Elias was in the mood to sing, “Shallow,” and demanded that Finn Balor sing Lady Gaga’s part.

Woo wee, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga have serious challengers on their hands in the form of Elias and Finn Balor. It looked like Elias was feeling the love from Balor’s belting. While Balor was embarrassed during Elias’ part, there appeared to be a time or two when he wanted to walk with Elias for a moonlit stroll on the beach. That is the power of song.

And I would be remiss to mention the best part; Elias attacking Balor at the end of the clip. It cracks me up every time. Everyone is lost in the moment of Balor singing, then bam! I could watch that on repeat all day long.

Let’s hope the wrestler duet of, “Shallow,” will be on the track list to Elias’ long-awaited follow-up to his debut album, Walk with Elias. Let’s also hope WWE brings back the Slammy Awards this year, so we finally have competition for the greatest musical performance in Slammy history, Vince McMahon’s, “Stand Back.”
