Kurt Angle’s farewell tour takes him to SmackDown and a match with AJ Styles

With just two weeks left in his farewell tour, Kurt Angle has just two episodes of Monday Night Raw left to work whatever matches he wants to get in before retiring at WrestleMania 35 on April 7 in New Jersey. He also has one more SmackDown Live match left too.

Indeed, WWE announced today that Angle will appear on this week’s episode for the final time in his career to wrestle an old rival from his days with TNA, AJ Styles.

WWE doesn’t mention TNA while reporting on it, but they come close:

Angle’s final match ever on the blue brand will take place this Tuesday night when the WWE Hall of Famer takes on AJ Styles. The two Superstars share a rich history, but this will be the first time the two have ever locked up in a WWE ring.

This is much more in line with what fans would like to see from Angle on this final run. If it must be Baron Corbin at WrestleMania, then at least we get Angle vs. Styles beforehand.
