What’s WrestleMania season without some informed Undertaker speculation?
WrestleMania 35 is less than 20 days away and The Undertaker still has no role on WWE’s biggest show.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required and encouraged), financially speaking WrestleMania may not even be WWE’s biggest event of the year anymore.
“Between the change from network to PPV and the ridiculous money involved, even though Mania is promoted as the biggest show of the year, the two Saudi shows are, by a wide margin, the two biggest money events of the year.”
Meltzer goes on to report that Taker will definitely be a part of WWE’s next show in Saudi Arabia, which takes place on Friday, May 3.
Rumors from earlier in the month pointed to Taker having some sort of role at WrestleMania 35. These were piggybacked by rumors from last week that stated WWE still has no match in place for The Deadman.
When not stuck in the rumor mill, Undertaker has spent the past several weeks breaking kayfabe in new, exciting, and sometimes tearful ways. The 53-year-old WWE mainstay also booked himself an appearance at Starrcast II, which takes place the same weekend as Double or Nothing.
In 2018, Undertaker’s two Saudi Arabia show matches consisted of a casket match versus Rusev and a Brothers of Destruction reunion versus Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
What will WWE have in store for Undertaker’s next stop in Saudi Arabia?
