Kurt Angle chooses Baron Corbin for his farewell match at WrestleMania 35

New, comments

We all had a bunch of different ideas about who Kurt Angle should face at WrestleMania 35 in MetLife Stadium for what he’s saying will be his last WWE match before retiring from in-ring performing. Many of us had one name we didn’t want Angle to say when he revealed his choice of opponent on Raw tonight (Mar. 18),though.

Guess which way it went?

Our Olympic hero tried to justify the decision, saying Corbin’s made his life a living hell since he was Raw General Manager. While there are lots of people he’d like to wrestle, he really wants to make Baron tap out.

Which sounds great and all, but Kurt’s already got wins over the no-longer-Lone Wolf.

There has to be a swerve coming. And if there wasn’t before, maybe the sound of the oxygen being sucked out of Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois tonight when Angle said “Baron Corbin” instead of “John Cena”, “The Undertaker” or even “Hornswoggle” might influence WWE to book such a swerve.

We’ll be waiting. In the meantime, follow along with all the action from Raw, most of which hopefully won’t be quite so undewhelming (and considering we’re currently getting a showdown of Olympians in Kurt vs. Chad Gable, it won’t), here.
