Say it ain’t so Kofi.
If Kofi Kingston ends #KofiMania on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at least it was one hell of a ride. It doesn’t feel like this should be the end of the story, but even Kingston seems resigned to the fact that his WWE title opportunity may have just slipped away.
For the first time since being pulled from his one-on-one match with WWE Champion Daniel Bryan set for Fastlane, the 37-year-old star released an official statement on Vince McMahon’s decision.
Kingston wrapped up his message with
“To have it all stripped away so suddenly is painful, to put it mildly. I appreciate you all more than you know and I thank you all for your love and support. Mark my words: We will be back. The journey does not end here.”
Will Kofi Kingston be able to work his way back into the title picture before Fastlane? Or does the eldest member of The New Day have his sights set on a bigger stage like WrestleMania 35?
