WWE SmackDown Live ratings (Feb. 26, 2019): Topsy-turvy

WWE.com

The Tues., Feb. 26 edition of SmackDown LIVE was good, but it also didn’t end up looking like the show WWE spent a few days promoting.

A Kofi Kingston/Daniel Bryan contract signing morphed into a segment with Vince McMahon, Kevin Owens and a new main event for Mar. 10’s pay-per-view (PPV). A Johnny Gargano singles match became a Hardy Boyz reunion. Some promised build for the SmackDown Women’s title scene was replaced by Charlotte Flair’s plan to go get the Raw Women’s championship belt.

Maybe that explains its topsy-turvy TV numbers?

In total viewership, the blue brand was down approximately 119K from Tues., Feb. 19. 2,150,000 tuned in this Tuesday, making WWE’s show the ninth most watched cable original on the night, behind History’s Curse of Oak Island and Fox News & MSNBC’s political talk.

The rating was up just a hair, though, to a night-winning .76 among 18 - 49 year olds. That’s the best SmackDown’s done in that metric this year, and since last fall’s Survivor Series fallout episode featuring the return of Becky Lynch.

And so it goes. Here’s a list of WWE’s Tuesday numbers from the past six months, in case that helps you keep things straight:
