WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 results: Finn Balor wins the Intercontinental championship

After weeks of dealing with Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush separately, Finn Balor was forced to take them on at the same time in a 2-on-1 handicap match for the Intercontinental championship at tonight’s (Sun., Feb. 17, 2019) WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

No biggie.

A pre-match interview, not to mention commentary, drilled the point that Lio might be the weak link in the team and that being a problem. If you didn’t know better, you might think they were sowing the seeds for a breakup.

It was definitely a set up for this match, which saw Lio tag himself in when Lashley seemed about to finish and Balor blitzed him, and eventually he hit Rush with the Coup de Grace to score the pin and win the title.

After, Lashley lost his mind in anger and slammed Lio to the mat.

They might just be breaking up after all.
