WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 results: Sasha Banks & Bayley win women’s tag team titles

@WWE

WWE kicked off tonight’s (Sun., Feb. 17, 2019) Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, with the crowning of brand new women’s tag team champions. The IIconics, Nia Jax & Tamina Snuka, The Riott Squad, Naomi & Carmella, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville, and Sasha Banks & Bayley all had a shot at it in the first of two Elimination Chamber matches of the evening.

The Boss ‘n Hug Connection finally did it.

The story going in centered around Banks & Bayley, longtime partners, having to start first and overcome Sasha’s recent injury issues. In fact, the entire match felt like a set up for the two babyfaces to overcome all the adversity to achieve their dream and finally become champions, most notably the heavy hitting heel team of Nia & Tamina.

Sure enough.

Jax and Snuka did quite a bit of damage while they were in, scoring two eliminations, but after Jax went flying through a pod, the entire ring got together to gang up on Tamina to take them out. That left the first four entrants in the very first women’s Elimination Chamber match as the final four in the second one.

They did a great job of making you buy that Sonya & Mandy actually may take it but ultimately Banks closed it out by forcing Deville to tap with a modified Bank Statement.

Here was the order of entry:

  1. Sasha Banks & Bayley
  2. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville
  3. The Riott Squad
  4. The IIconics
  5. Naomi & Carmella
  6. Nia Jax & Tamina Snuka

And the order of elimination:

  1. Carmella & Naomi (The IIconics)
  2. The IIconics (Nia & Tamina)
  3. The Riott Squad (Nia & Tamina)
  4. Nia & Tamina (Banks & Bayley, Rose & Deville)
  5. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville (Banks & Bayley)
