WWE runs another injury angle for Becky Lynch at a house show

After weeks and weeks of playing up a Becky Lynch knee injury as a way to get Charlotte Flair into the main event of WrestleMania 35 against Ronda Rousey, either alongside or as a replacement for Lynch, it seemed WWE was going to get away from that when they said her knee was healing just fine. Still, because they needed to do it somehow, Vince McMahon showed up to insert Flair and suspend Lynch for 60 days.

That way it’s not so much about the knee but the evil overlords being just that.

Not so fast.

The video above is from the WWE house show in Alexandria, Louisiana last night where they ran another angle with Lynch attacking Flair during a match against Asuka and re-injuring her knee in the process. It would seem, then, that we can look forward to months of Becky limping around as she tries to get back into the Raw women’s title match at the biggest show of the year.

Hey, the bigger the hero the more obstacles they have to overcome, right?
