Triple H: The door is open for Rob Gronkowski at WWE

As it seems we do every year, the media is back to peppering New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski with questions regarding his future. He’s not helping matters, considering he refuses to shut the door on retirement. This while there’s talk of a future in Hollywood awaiting him.

There may also be a future in WWE awaiting him.

We’ve seen Gronkowski get involved before, at a WrestleMania even, and he’s good friends with Mojo Rawley. After a long career in professional football, one that featured a list of injuries too long to recite, it seems unlikely he would ever make pro wrestling a full time thing. Having said that, if he is interested at all, that interest is mutual, as Triple H told

“Rob is very close with one of our stars, Mojo Rawley. We’ve met a few times, and he’s actually come down to the Performance Center and even done stuff with us at WrestleMania. He’s a great guy, an incredible player, and it’s hard not to root for him. I’ll be watching him, but that’s also because my wife is a massive Patriots fan. Gronk has mentioned WWE before, that he loves it and said had so much fun doing it. I don’t know if it’s something he’d be seriously interested in, but that’s how the conversation started with Ronda Rousey, too. Certainly the door is open for him at WWE.”

Gronkowski is a big personality, and that’s what WWE is all about. It’s a natural pairing. Then again, we’ve been down this road before and he chose to go back to the NFL, where the Patriots are back in their third straight Super Bowl.

Stay tuned.
