There had been rumors and reports that WWE was heading in this direction and they did a pretty damn good job of telling a decent enough story to get to it.
After Charlotte Flair lost a 2-on-1 handicap match against the Kabuki Warriors, and was humiliated a couple of times along the way, she attempted to recruit current Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, who herself has a debt to collect from Asuka. Lynch was resistant at first, then went out and lost her own 2-on-1 handicap match to the champs.
That was all it took to to get her to agree.
Later, after yet another attack, they agreed again that they needed to up the ante and make it a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. It will take place at the TLC pay-per-view scheduled for this Sun., Dec. 15, 2019, in Minneapolis.
The updated match card:
- Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz
- Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin
- The Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair (Women’s tag team championship)
- The New Day (c) vs. The Revival (SmackDown tag team championship)
- Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley
