After taking out Bálor & pinning Cole, Lee will fight for a title shot

If you were playing a drinking game where you did a shot every time Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness or Beth Phoenix said “moment” tonight (Dec. 4) - as in “Keith Lee makes another moment” - you’re probably too blitzed to read this right now.

NXT is riding the hot hand after the wrestling world came out of Survivor Series buzzing about the Limitless One. He made several moments on the latest episode of WWE’s Wednesday night show. And the ones at the end of the night set him up for more in the future.

At the end of the main event pitting Lee, Tommaso Ciampa & Dominik Dijakovic against Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong of Undisputed ERA, the rogue prince Finn Bálor crashed the party. But after he took out Cole & Ciampa, he forgot about the Limitless One. After a dope shot of Lee rising over his should like an angry kaiju, Finn learned not to forget about Keith.

Undisputed’s leader tried to catch Lee basking in his own glory, but it didn’t work. Keith dodged a Last Shot knee and slammed Cole down with a jackhammer.

After he pinned the NXT champ, General Manager William Regal appeared and announced Cole would defend his title on what is shaping up to be a loaded Dec. 18 show (essentially a year-end extravaganza with Christmas and New Year’s Day the next two Wednesdays). His challenger will be decided with a Triple Threat on next week’s show, pitting Ciampa and Bálor against, you guessed it, Keith Lee.

Basking intensifies.
