Injury forces a change to tonight’s NXT

WWE.com

It was mentioned during last week’s NXT that Damian Priest suffered a rib injury during his Triple Threat with Killian Dain & Pete Dunne at TakeOver: WarGames on Sat., Nov. 23.

It was a bit curious, since Priest worked the next night as part of the men’s Survivor Series match. Maybe that was where the injury occurred and WWE just wanted to tie it into the Archer of Infamy’s feud with Dain? They were going to have a singles match on NXT tonight (Dec. 4).

“Were” is the operative word there, because it was announced on The Bump this morning that Priest isn’t cleared and won’t be facing the Beast of Belfast in Full Sail this evening. So whenever it happened, it’s now impacted that program.

No word on who or even if Dain wrestles tonight, but we will be treated to the return of Kushida. The Japanese sensation’s been out with a wrist fracture since October. His last match was against WALTER, but the injury reportedly happened prior to his tussle with the United Kingdom champ.

Join us tonight in our live blog for Rhea Ripley vs. Dakota Kai, Kushida, and whatever else Team NXT offers up!
